Your Asheville real estate broker with 34" snook on an 8 weight fly rod caught and released in Jupiter, Florida on trip with Shane Buckner, Manager from Hunter Banks, an Asheville NC outfitter and fly shop.

This photo of a few buddies and me was taken at a Deutsch Drahthaar natural ability hunting test in Nashville TN.   Pictured left to right are David Clegg and "Gauge", Scott Crabtree and "Carla", & Jason Pardue and  "Cisko".  My talented dog Gauge aka Condor vom Stillwasser trotted away with the best score out of all 25 dogs that ran the test that weekend.

If you are a sportsman that appreciates superb canine hunting companions do a quick Google search for Deutsch Drahthaars and do some research.  Cousins of Americanized German Wirehair Pointers these pointing upland birds, tracking big game, and waterfowl retrieving these are the ultimate in versatile hunting dogs.  The rigorous German structured breeding requirements include physical, hunting, and temperament tests.  This insures that the dogs will not suffer the fate of the Irish Setters, Golden Retrievers, and  in due time the Labrador Retrievers.

I hunt quail, pheasants, chukar, ducks, geese, dove, woodcock, and grouse.  My dogs love it all.  Remarkably they have the style and grace of English Pointers and the drive of Chesapeake Bay Retriever. My buddy Scott Crabtree with Stillwasser Kennels in Gastonia NC is a very reputable breeder.  I can also recommend Jill Manring  with Wildflugel Kennels who is out in Nebraska's corn and soybean plains.
